District Governor Jeffrey Afful is a passionate Rotarian, a diligent professional, a fair-minded person and a family man.
He had his primary education at Garrison Primary School, Burma Camp, Accra Ghana, secondary education at the Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School, Legon, Accra and tertiary education at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science& Technology, Kumasi where he graduated with a Bachelorof Science Degree in Building Technology. He also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK.
DG Jeff is a Quantity Surveyor and Project Management Professional (PMP). He is a Fellow of The Ghana Institution of Surveyors (GhIS) and Member of the Project Management Institute (PMI).
DG Jeff has worked with a number of Consulting Quantity Surveying and Project Management Firms. He is currently the Principal Partner of PC&M ADVISORS, a Quantity Surveying and Project Management Consulting firm located at East Legon, Accra, Ghana. Since 1996, He has worked on various projects including residential/real estate development, office buildings, commercial buildings, educational/medical facilities, industrial buildings and restoration projects.
Rotaract: DG Jeff’s Rotary journey begun with Rotaract. He was a charter-member of the Rotaract Club of Accra – Ring Road Central (RRC) and became its President in 1998-1999 Rotary year.
Rotary – Club Level:
He was inducted into the Rotary Club of RRC in December 2001 with the classification ‘Quantity Surveying, Project Management’ and became the Club President in 2008-2009.
He was appointed the District Governor’s Special Representative (DGSR) in September 2011 and spearheaded the formation of the Rotary Club of Accra Legon East (ALE).
National Committees: He has served on a number of National Committees – Ghana Extension Committee, Host Organizing Committees, Rotary Family Health Days Committee and Punctuality & Time Management Project Committee as its first Chairman.
At the District level, He served as Assistant Governor from 2012 to 2015 and was appointed to serve a fourth term in 2015-2016.
He has chaired the Membership and Convention Promotion Committees.
He was aide to the Rotary International President’s Special Representative to District 9102 District Assembly and Conference in April 2014 and April 2017,the late Rotary International President-Elect Sam Owori during the 2016 Zone 20A Institute in Accra and Trustee Chair (2016-18) Paul Netzel during the 2017 West Africa Project Fair in Accra, Ghana.
He was nominated by his club and subsequently selected to serve as District Governor for District 9102 in the Rotary year 2018-2019.
Contributions to The Rotary Foundation:
He is a Multiple Paul Harris Fellow and a The Rotary Foundation Benefactor. He was a Technical Adviser on the Construction of a two-storey Vaccine Cold Room Facility partly financed by The Rotary Foundation. He is a one-time Host Counselor to an Ambassadorial Scholar from District 5050.
He has attended 12 District Training Assembly and Conferences,1 International Assembly, 3 Rotary Institutes and 11 RI Conventions
District Governor (DG) Jeffrey Afful was born on 1st June 1969. He is married to Regina and has three sons (Jeffery Jnr., George and Jayden).His hobbies include soccer (Chelsea fan), wrestling, music, reading, movies and travelling.
